About Us

Motus Technical Academy - Previously Imperial Technical Training Academy opened their first technical training centers in Cape Town 2008 and Germiston 2009 as part of a joint venture between Imperial Automotive Retail and Associated Motor Holdings to address the need to increase qualified Artisans in South Africa for the Automotive Industry.

To date we have 4 academies across South Africa that offer 6 automotive trades, skills programmes and short courses to over 2000 apprentices from the Motus network to some of the largest private companies in South Africa.

We strive to remain the premium leaders in developing committed Technical Learners for the Automotive Industry. The academies are known for their use of the latest training methods materials and systems driven by innovative technologies and focused on the need to address the critical shortage of technical skills within the automotive industry through social and relational partnerships and collaborative programmes.

Whilst artisan training is available through other centers around the country, Motus Technical Academy ensures that artisans (apprentices) are employed into their businesses when they commence their training. This model provides a relevant mix of both practical Apprentice training and world-class theoretical training at the Academies and the best on the Job experience available. All Motus Technical Academies are geared in both equipment, technology and teaching methodology towards meeting the exacting standards that the motor industry demands.
